Will my dog get to play with other dogs?
Yes, dogs are placed into size and energy-level appropriate play groups. If your dog is not friendly with other dogs, they will still get time to play outside and walk with the attendant at no extra cost.
How many times are the dogs taken out a day?
The dogs are all let outside 8 times a day total, the first potty break being at 7 am, and the last at 10pm.
How big are the runs the dogs are kept in?
Each run is about 28 square feet. There are also larger runs for multi-dog households so siblings may be kept together.
Does my dog need to be vaccinated to make an appointment?
In order to be scheduled, you must show proof of each of these for your pet:
- up to date Rabies vaccination
- up to date Distemper/Parvo vaccination
- up to date Bordatella vaccination
- a negative fecal exam (taken within 6 months of your visit)
** it is also recommended that your pet have an up to date Influenza vaccine and flea & tick prevention, but it is NOT required.
How many other dogs will be there?
We are normally completely booked, which means there are typically anywhere between 15-19 dogs.
What should I bring if my dog is being boarded for an extended period of time?
If your dog is being boarded. we recommend you bring
- enough food to last the duration of their stay
- medication (if needed)
- blanket/clothing item with the family's scent
** we provide water, bowls, cots, and toys
How far should I book in advance?
It is recommended that you book at least 2-3 months out for holiday weekends and school breaks, as our books do fill up quickly.
